The project involved the architectural restoration of a palace in the old town of Cagliari. The building‘s location is particularly significant because of its proximity to some of the city‘s most iconic buildings, including the Archiepiscopal Curia, the Palazzo Viceregio and the Cathedral, which date from the XIV century. The palace was completely renovated in terms of fittings and decorative features. We used high-quality solutions and materials to enhance the building‘s original architectural details: vaults, architraves, rafters, original floors, cellars and cisterns.
Particular attention was paid to the questions of building energy needs and interior comfort. We chose to install radiant floor heating panels since they combine maximum comfort with low energy requirements. We chose Eurotherm because their solutions suited our requirements and they assisted us at every stage of the project, from design to installation. We opted for a dry system because we didn‘t have enough floor height to lay a traditional floor heating system.
