The Deuclimatizer 500 DC is a refrigeration-cycle unit developed for indoor suspended-ceiling (false-ceiling) applications. The unit is able to perform isothermal dehumidification during the summer season, meaning it can dehumidify the air and supply it back into the room at a temperature close to the temperature at which it was extracted. More specifically, dehumidification occurs through contact between humid air and the cold surface of the unit’s heat exchanger, on which condensate droplets form; these are then collected and drained via the dedicated outlet. In addition, the unit features a summer integration mode that allows it to dehumidify and cool the air, and a winter integration mode that allows it to heat the air using the hydronic heat exchanger. These integration modes therefore enable the unit to provide a sensible-heat contribution, heating or cooling the rooms it serves. Regardless of the season, the unit can be operated in ventilation with sanitization mode, which does not use the refrigeration cycle or the hydronic heat exchanger.
The main components of the unit are the refrigeration cycle (evaporator, condenser, hermetic compressor, and capillary tube), a hydronic heat exchanger, and a fan to move the airflow. The unit is equipped with a coarse filter positioned to facilitate maintenance, and with a low-energy-consumption UV lamp. The supply acoustic plenum (Art. 7510030106) and the return plenum (Art. 7510030205) are available as optional accessories and are not included. Thanks to the plenums, it is possible to easily connect the unit’s rectangular spigots to circular connections 2xD160, ensuring full compatibility with AirClima, Eurotherm’s air distribution system.
The unit features an on-board display to facilitate start-up and maintenance procedures. The unit is designed to be managed via Eurotherm SmartComfort 365 control (recommended) via Modbus RTU RS485 or via digital enable/consent signals. For correct operation, the unit must be connected to a conditioned-water circuit and to the condensate drain system.
